Thinking of marketing in the New Year?
The Christmas break can be the ideal time to make decisions about whether to market your home. With the market being still very favourable to sellers, now is the time to get your property listed.
What can you do to prepare your property for listing?
Declutter, declutter and declutter again. When you are showing people around you want as few distractions to the eye as possible. You want to ensure that people are looking at the size of the rooms, the light and imagining what they can do with the space, not admiring your ornaments.
Neutralise – where possible make sure you have nice light neutral tones throughout the property so you are maximising the space, some darker colours can make rooms seem smaller. The more neutral a property is the more people will be able to envision how the property can be if they owned it.
Maintain:- This time of year guttering can cause big problems. With inclement weather, guttering can fill up quickly and can cause unnecessary damp problems. Keep garden areas and pathways clean and clear to make sure your property is inviting and has kerb-appeal!
